Next game is homecoming for Verdell Jones. I'll take a win, any way I
can get it.

Well, I'm not going to hold my breath on winning the next game by 20,
but it was very encouraging to see "the kids" have a great game on the
road -- that's a positive step for them. Granted, PSU is really not so
good this year, but road games in the Big Ten are never easy regardless
of how the home team is doing.

So it wasn't clear from what the announcers said, and I was
fast-forwarding through pretty much all the chatter anyway. Can anyone
say for sure if Davis didn't get the start because he was sick, or if it
was due to his performance of late? Either way, I hope it helps. He
definitely had a quietly reasonable game last night, but I seem to
recall him getting burned badly a couple of times on defense. If he was
sick, and slow a step or 2, I can give him a pass on that.

We've still got a very steep hill to climb to have any chance at an NCAA
bid. But I continue to be encouraged at the prospects for next year
with the way the freshmen are progressing.

The Illini finally put an end to our 3 game skid and beat Penn State by
10.

The iIlini lead by 11 in the first half then naturally fall behind in
the second half.

D. J. Richardson had over 20 points and made key FT's late to seal the
deal.

Let's win the next game by 20!

GO ILLINI FINALLY

Kevin
