I pretty much agree with your points, but if we had tried to throw dowfield, even if Juice's throw were accurate (a crapshoot), the receiver probably would have dropped it - it was that kind of day.  I love Juice, but his accuracy is wildly inconsistent, and when he misses, he *really* misses.  I'd like to think the game would have been different with Benn, but I can't say I'm sure of that.

The defense is clearly inexperienced, especially the secondary - we're gonna get torched deep all year by good passing teams.  I would have loved to see a better year for Juice's last, but IMHO we struggle to even be bowl-eligible this year.

I'm like you...I didn't see this coming at all.  Plenty of blame to go

around.  Players missed assignments, missed tackles, executed poorly...and

it didn't appear to me that the coaches had them very ready for the game or

called a particularly good game.



Juice, in spite of his 67% completion percentage, didn't look very sharp

either.



They have 2 weeks to figure it out...or we're off to a 1-4 start.  That will

put immense pressure on the players down the stretch if we're going to make

a bowl game.
