[Oskee] Screw you IU you still lose

While in Indiana, I worked in an office where there was a very high concentration of basketball fans. This office was 20 miles from IU, so the dominant color was red, but the engineering department had a high number of Purdue grads. What struck me is that these fans appreciated good basketball from wherever it came, even if they had to give props to the Orange and Blue or to marvel at a dominant Oden game or Mateen Cleaves buzzer beater. 
 
There was always plenty of friendly banter, and the fight songs blared out from desktop speakers every game day. It was never bitter or ugly. It's just supposed to be fun, and it always was.  Now I live in Michigan (20 miles from Ann Arbor as it turns out), and I can't seem to find any real basketball fans here.  To tell the truth, I kind of miss the IU and PU fans hanging around the water cooler.

If anything, those of us on the east side aren't flying under the radar anymore.  Sounds like Kevin may be around a little more combative group of IU fans on a daily basis.  Purdue fans are usually a little more diplomatic, but that may be a Weber thing more than anything else.  The Fort is close enough to the Ohio line that I'm exposed to a lot of Ohio State fans as well.  In a way, they're much worse to be around.

The Illini play the best first half of the year tromping the Loosiers by 21 points.

Then Chester Frazier made a dagger trey to put the Illini back up 9 and another clutch Basket to dash the freaking Hoosier hopes 65-52.

Gee we have two guys foul out  and Indy shoots a ton of FT's

You can still be a shit team and still get friendly breaks.

Like I say Screw the Loosiers.
