[Oskee] Game recap

Agree on all counts, Greg.  Although, I do give Tisdale some credit last
night.I thought the kid played his heart out last night.  I spent some time
watching Davis last night on missed shots.  On several occasions the ball
came off the rim but not directly at him, but definitely close enough to go
after and he didn't budge a step.  He's a great rebounder if the ball comes
right at him, but he doesn't seem willing to go after anything that is out
of his area.

 

Another thing that really frustrates me about this time is the lazy passes.
Those lame ducks out at the top of the key that just beg to get stolen. 

 

After all that, we fought back to 6 down and had the ball in our hands with
a chance to cut it to 4 and Paul jacked up a long jumper early in the shot
clock.

 

Robert, that ledge is looking better and better to me.  :-P  Not that we
can't improve, the problem is that they seem unwilling to what they need to
do to become a good basketball team.  

 

In spite of all that, and the gray clouds and rain that are hanging over
central Illinois today.

Hard to believe that after three years in major D1 program Tisdale and Davis
don't know how to push people around and at the least not get pushed around.
I counted three times that a guard slapped the ball out of their combined
possession. I've about had it with McCamey as well-no leadership, no drive,
no passion. We play like we're young but we have three juniors starting and
a couple off the bench. Finally, we didn't look ready for Anderson's
Missouri team. Webber has seen it for years and these players for at least
three. Woeful was our preparation last night. That falls on coaching.
