Jamie Harper is rated by scout #5 overall and was in the recent army hs allstar game. I believe Mendenhall had the same rating when he came out of HS.

I could go for that as well :-). Benson is well on his way to becoming yet another UT back that couldn't cut it in the pros. Would #14 be a reach for Rashard, though? I'm not a draftnik by any stretch of the imagination, so I really have no clue -- that's why I'm asking. It would seem the draft would have to be very top-heavy on running backs for Rashard to go that high. Regardless, the Bears O-line need to improve greatly at run blocking next year for just about any back to have a chance at succeeding (surviving? :-)...

Dufrene looked pretty good when he came in, but there's a big difference between coming in after a back like Rashard has worn down and softened up the D and being the guy that has to do that wearing down (see Cedric Benson above...). I'd like to think we'll do OK, but it would sure help if our passing attack got to be more of a threat, which opens up things for the run. And I think it will, with Benn and Juice both having another year of experience, and bowl experience to boot. I don't know how many of our other receivers return off the top of my head.

I assume he's a recruit? I don't follow fottball recruiting at all...
