A slew of beatdowns will do that to a fan base. WRT football, we've
definitely stopped the bleeding, but can we turn the corner? Gotta
give Zook and his staff a ton of credit for bringing in kids that are
B10 caliber or better. Considering where he started (Mendenhall not
withstanding), Zook's recruiting has been nothing short of amazing.
And with positive results on the field, recruiting should be even
better. The man seems to be building a future powerhouse.

Beating IU was huge. I'm glad we don't have to face Lewis for another
year...that dude is scary.

We have a pretty good punt team. It'll be a long time before I forget
last year's debacle.

Our D is pretty stout across the board. It's great to have enough
depth on the line to rotate guys.

Juice is doing pretty darn good at everything but downfield passing.
I hope he gets it together by Saturday, otherwise PSU is going to
stack the box on us and I think we'll lose. If Juice has a decent day
passing, enough to keep PSU honest, I think we'll win (hardly
impressed w/PSU's offense thus far). How great would it be to beat
those guys and be 4-1?

One last thought, I really like Joe Morgan's ability to get open,
but, man, he's got to catch the damn ball.

Go Illini!
